The First World War Memorial for Redcar is inside the Church of St. Peter's, and is a Roll of Honour tablet as shown above. The names of the men recorded on this memorial are to be found in the Middlesbrough Archives.
(Curiously, the War memorial in Redcar's town centre, although inscribed as being for the dead of both World Wars, only carries the names of the dead from the Second World War).

The names on the panels are;-

(1) Pte F G Bradley was in the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment), formerly in the Yorkshire Regiment
(2) 2nd Lt H T Knights is shown as a Captain in the CWGC register, and Captain (Temp) in SDGW
(3) William Long was a Lance Corporal, not Private
(4) Listed as "H A Olley" in CWGC register, - incorrect.
(5) Brother of A H Olley, Charles Olley, doesn't appear on the Redcar Memorial
(6) 2nd Lieutenant H H Robertson was in the East Yorkshire Regiment.
(7) There is no record of a William Upton in either the CWGC register, SDGW, or the GH Gazette database.
(8) Formerly in the Yorkshire Regiment
(9) R W Stainsby, formerly in the Yorkshire Regiment
