The War Memorial for Huttons Ambo is on the village green at Low Hutton, and is inscribed;-

"ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF HUTTON'S AMBO WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919"

Private George Brown, 34861. 9th Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, formerly 3215 Yorkshire Regiment. Died at home 29 November 1916.
Enlisted Beverley.
Buried EDINBURGH (SEAFIELD) CEMETERY.
(This may not be the George Brown on this memorial, but it is the closes "fit" I could find).

Corporal Walter Darley. 7039. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Maria Hodgson (formerly Darley), of 89, New Row, Old Malton, Yorks. Killed 27 October 1914. Aged 33.
Born Huttons Ambo (Malton), Enlisted Malton, Resided Huttons Ambo.
Buried BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY.

Private Frank Gill, 1800. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Frank Gill, of Huttons Ambo, York. Died at home 14 March 1915. Aged 17.
Born Huttons Ambo (Malton), Enlisted Scarborough, Resided Huttons Ambo.
Buried HUTTONS AMBO (ST. MARGARET) CHURCHYARD.

Private Alfred Harrison, 45733. 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Frederick and Martha Harrison, of Roughbrough, Huttons Arnbo, York; husband of Gertrude Harrison, of Netherby House, Huttons Arnbo, York. Killed 20 September 1917. Aged 40.
Born Leavening, Enlisted Malton, Resided Huttons Ambo.
Commemorated Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, Tyne Cot Memorial.

Private John William Kelsey, 93310. 1st/7th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, formerly 46654 Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 20 September 1918.
Born Huttons Ambo (York), Enlisted Malton, Resided Huttons Ambo.
Buried MONTCORNET MILITARY CEMETERY.
