Private Henry Artley. 2667. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Grandson of Mrs. Hannah D. Artley, of Stonegate, Hunmanby, Yorks. Killed 15 September 1916. Aged 18.
Enlisted Bridlington, Resided Hunmanby.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.

Major Harold Brown. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. DSO, M.C. &Croix de Guerre with Palm (France). Son of G. W. Brown, of Lindsay Grange, Branksome Park, Bournemouth; husband of Dorothy J. E. Brown, of Kingston Lodge, Leigh Woods, Bristol. Killed on 23 March 1918. Aged 39.
