St. Mary's Church is situated in Green Lane, Wyke, Bradford.
The First World War Memorial is a large canopied screen filling the West
End of the Church. The central panel commemorates those who lost their lives
in the First World War.
To date, there are no available photos of this memorial.

Private William Firth. 27479. 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of Abraham Firth and Sarah Taylor Firth, of 33, Garden Field, Wyke, Bradford,
Yorks. Killed 1 July 1916.
Born Bradford, Enlisted Bradford.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
(From the 1911 Census, William Firth was born in about 1890. He would have
been about 26 years old when killed. He does not appear to be related to Leonard
Firth, also on the memorial.)
Private John Stothers. 30664. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Killed 26 July 1917. Aged 25.
Born Pontefract, Enlisted Bradford, Resided Wyke.
Commemorated on Panel 33, YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL.
(From the 1911 Census, John Stothers lived with his family at Town Gate, Wyke.
He was 19 and a "Freighter".
On the memorial he is shown as John Taylor Stothers, )

Killed 19 September 1917.
Born Halifax, Enlisted Blaydon, Resided Wyke (Bradford).
