The Woolley War Memorial is in a Memorial Garden at the junction of Molly Hurst lane with Finkle Street and the High Street, Wolleey, Wakefield.

The memorial is a Cross with an octagonal shaft, plinth and three stepped base. A Bronze Sword of Sacrifice is on the front face and the names commemorated are on the plinth.
The monument is set in a small garden of about 15m x 15m. A slightly sloping site with a stone boundary wall full of mature shrubs that run all around the boundary.

15 names are commemorated as having lost their lives n the First World War, and 8 in the Second World war. A transcription of the names on the memorial is on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials ebsite.

1 soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

Born Skipton (Yorks), Enlisted Wakefield.
Buried CORBIE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.
