A Book of Remembrance is held in the Wolverhampton City Archives.
The book contains a full list of names of those men and women who gave their lives in the course of the First World War while contributing to the war effort, both at home and overseas.

The roll contains not only the names of military personnel who died on the frontline, but also men and women who were fatally injured in munitions factory accidents or during other duties such as nursing.

Private Edwin Blakeway. 34882. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment), formerly 48449 Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 31 August 1918. Aged 19.
Born Heath Town (Wolverhampton), Enlisted Bilston, Resided Heath Town.
(Shown in the CWGC Register as "R E Blakeway", but in medal roll and SDGW as "Edwin Blakeway").

Captain Cecil Aubrey Bradford. Yorkshire Regiment, attached to the Nigeria Regiment W A F F. Second son of the late Lt.-Col. O. J. Bradford, of Welparke, Lustleigh, S. Devon, and Mrs. Mary Ann Ellen Bradford; husband of Mildred Ellen Grace Wyatt-Edgell (formerly Bradford), of Tettenhall Wood, Wolverhampton. Served in the Cameroons. Died 24 April 1917. Aged 31
Commemorated on the HOLLYBROOK MEMORIAL.
(Captain Bradford was lost at sea when travelling home on S.S. Abbosso, which was torpedoed by a German submarine.)

Private James Brittain, 29851. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 32598 Notts & Derby Regt. Killed on 22 March 1918.

Private Harry Clarke. 48360. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment,formerly TR/5/110238 87th T R Battn. Killed 27 May 1918.
Born Bilston (Staffs), Enlisted Bilston.

Lance Corporal George Clift. 11227. 6th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 22 August 1915.
Born Wolverhampton, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided Wolverhampton.

Private Frederick James Cooke. 33919. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly S/4/109944 R A S C. Son of Henry Cooke; husband of Mary Elizabeth Rowley (formerly Cooke), of 12, Herbert St., Wolverhampton. Killed 3 November 1918. Aged 35.
Born Walsall (Staffs), Enlisted Lichfield, Resided Blaken Hill (Wolverhampton).
Buried BERLIN SOUTH WESTERN CEMETERY.

Private Thomas Cox. 31291. 16th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, transferred to (12705) Labour Corps. Killed 11 September 1917.
Born Wallington (Lincs), Enlisted Bilston (Staffs).

Private William James Day. 34110. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 29724 Lincs Regt. James William, the son of Harriet Day of 72 Becket Street, Bilston. Died 6 November 1918.

Lieutenant Arnold Leslie Duddell. 3rd Battalion the South Staffordshire Regiment, attached to the 6th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Albert and Minnie Duddell, of Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. Killed 27 Septembare 1917. Aged 20.
Buried BARD COTTAGE CEMETERY.

Sergeant John Evans. 20182. 12th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Died 11 April 1918.
Born Wolverhampton (Staffs), Enlisted Middlesbrough.

Private John Gallear, 11241. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of John and Martha Gallear, of 14, Portskewett St., Newport; husband of Sarah Ann Gallear, of 29, Lloyd St., Liswerry, Newport, Mon. Killed 27 September 1916. Aged 31.
