The Weymouth War Memorial Cenotaph is located at the top end of the Esplanade, opposite the Hotel Prince Regent.

The memorial is a tall slender Cenotaph. There is a wreath on the front face and decorative relief on the reverse depicting Christ being born aloft by angels. The memorial is urrounded by iron railings.

The names commemorated are inscribed on plaques attached on all fours sides of the Cenotaph.

387 names are commemorated on the memorial as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 351 in the Second World War.

1 of the names commemorated is that of a soldier who served in the Yorkshire Regiment.
