The War Memorial for Tudhoe Colliery stands in the main entrance to Tudhoe Cemetery (also known as York Hill Cemetery), Tudhoe, Sedgefield (Co. Durham).
The memorial is an allegorical figure of Victory on top of 4-sided monument which is standing on a three stepped plinth. The dedication and commmeorations are incised into the four sides of the memorial.
71 names are commemorated on the memorial.
Although 10 soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial, 2 of these names served wth the DLI and not the Yorkshire Regiment.

Private T Bainbridge. Was Private Tom Bainbridge, 25107. ist/6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. Enlisted Spennymoor. Brother of Christopher Bainbridge.
Private William Brown. 16630. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Husband of Annie Eliza Brown, of 61, Bessemer Terrace, Mount Pleasant,
Spennymoor, Durham. Killed 23 July 1916. Aged 37.
Born Spennymoor (Durham), Enlisted Sunderland, Resided Low Spennymoor.
