The War Memorial for Triangle, Calderdale, is situated located on the wall on the Oak Hill side of what was once the Triangle Inn. This building is located at the junction of Rochadle Road and Oak Hil, Triangle.
The memorial is a granite tablet with a Yorkshire stone surround. The surround is pitched at the top with a shelf at the base. The commemorations are in Incised lettering.

25 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War.

One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

Unfortunately, the Triangle Inn is no longer in business. The building is in a state of disrepair and is up for sale (March 2020) It is not known at the time of writing (April 2021) as to what the future of the building and the memorial will be.


Private Percy Bottomley. 27598. 12th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Philip and Annie Bottomley, of 5, Upper Stubbin, Triangle, Halifax. Died Between 9 April - 11 April 1918. Aged 21.
Born Sowerby Bridge (Yorks), Enlisted Halifax, Resided Triangle (Halifax).
Commemorated on Panel 4, PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL.
