The War Memorial for Sutton iColdfield

The Sutton Coldfield War Memorial is located in the centre of King Edward Square, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
The memorial is a two-stepped base surmounted by two plinths and the figure of a serviceman in full battledress with rifle. The dedication and commemorations are on metal plaques attached to the sides of the plinths and the whole is surrounded by an ornamental garden. There is a wreath with crossed torches in relief at the top of the plinth. The town crest is featured on the plaque on the front face.
351 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the Frst World War and 158 in the Second World War.
2 soldiers who served in the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial.
