Private James Delaney. 12656. 10th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment,
transferred to 95232 Royal Defence Corps. Husband of Jennie Delaney, of 36,
Rutland St., Millfield, Sunderland. Died at home 26 March 1919. Aged 26.
Buried SUNDERLAND (BISHOPWEARMOUTH) CEMETERY.
From James Delaney's Service Record he was wounded in September 1915 in the
Battle of Loos (Gun Shot Wound left chest). In 1918 he was hospitalised for
159 days after contracting food poisoning..
He is shown as having been a shipyard labourer, residing in Bell Street, Millfield,
Sunderland.
