The War Memorial found at the Southern end of Aberford Road in Stanley (Wakefield) is an upright rectangular pillar, mounted on a two-stepped base. The names commemorated are on a metal plate affixed to the pillar.
The memorial is situated in a small roadside garden.
28 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War. A transcription of the names is on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website.

Commemorated on the DELHI MEMORIAL GATE.

Regiment. Formerly 5/90119 7th T R Battalion. Killed on 6 May 1918.
Born Stanley (Wakefield), Enlisted Wakefield.
