The First World War Memorial for St. Anne's Church, Netherthorpe, Sheffield

The First World War Memorial for St. Anne's Church, Netherthorpe, consists of two identical morsatile tablet set within a triangular-headed wooden frame Blue tile border. Furled flag and wreath at the base of each tablet, cross with crown above it at the top.
This memorial was originally in St. Anne's Church, Netherthorpe, but following demolition of the church is now located in the porch of St. Stephen's Church, Netherthorpe.
121 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World war. A transcription of the names is provided on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website.

Gibbons, of 43, Shepherd St., Sheffield. Died 8 May 1918. Aged 19.

Commemorated on Panels 52 to 54 & 162A, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.

Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), formerly 23454 the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed
21 August 1917.
Born Hallam (Yorks), Enlisted Sheffield.
Buried NEW IRISH FARM CEMETERY.
