The Sacriston First World War Memorial is a wooden board with decorated single stepped pediment that bears the a dedication. The names of those commemorated are presented in four columns and are carved into the wooden panels. The names are presented alphabetically with the regiments / force served in, and any decorations.
168 names of those who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated.

The memorial was originally located in St Peter and St Paul's Church, but when the church became redundant was moved to its eventual location in the Sacriston Working Men's Club in Edward Street.

We are very grateful to the North East War Memorials Project website for use of the photographs of the memorial.
