The First World War Memorial in All Saints' Church, Roos, is reredos and an associated tablet erected inside the church.

The inscription on the tablet reads;-
"THIS TABLET AND REREDOS/ WERE PLACED IN THIS/ CHURCH IN GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THE RECTORS NEPHEWS/ SIDNEY MILSOM and EDWARD W MILSOM / AND OF THE/ MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO/ ALSO LAID DOWN THEIR/ LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ (Names)/ R.I.P.

6 names in addition to the Milsom brothers are commemorated on the memorial.

1 soldier who served in the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.


Private Harold Carrick. 241214. 4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Hannah Maria Carrick, of Roos, Hull, and the late William Carrick. Killed 6 April 1918. Aged 21.
Enlisted Beverley, Resided Roos (Hull).
Buried ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN.
