The War Memorial outside St. Peter's Church, Reighton, is a small simple cross set on a tall rectangular section rouch stone with flat face for the inscription and names, on a 2 step base.

3 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 2 in the Second World War.

1 soldier who served in ther Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.


Private Frederick Maplesden. 36008. 7th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. W. J. and Mrs. E. M. Maplesden, of Reighton, Speeton, Yorks. Killed 8 February 1917. Aged 20.
Enlisted Bridlington.
