The Raunds War Memorial

The Raunds War Memorial is located in a Memorial Garden outside St. Peter's Church, off the High Street in Raunds.

The memorial is a on a two-stepped octagonal styled base surmounted by a large low profile square sectioned plinth with concave corners and a platformed upper face. Set on the platform is a substantial square shaped padstone with a four-fluted square sectioned tapering column. The column is topped by a four-gabled roof covering a cross in relief on each face.

The memorial commemorates the names of 107 men who lost their lives in the First World War, and 29 men from the Second World War. A transcript of all the names is on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website, as well as on the Raunds War Memorial Research Project website.

Enlisted Irthlingbrough.
Buried CAVALLETO BRITISH CEMETERY.
