St. John's Church is located in Scarborough Road, Pleck (Walsall).
The church is a modern building which replaces the original church built in 1858. The original building was demolished in 1976 and replaced by the new church built on the site.

The First World War Memorial is a Nowi shaped brass plaque on the inside North West wall of the church.

214 names are commemorated on this memorial. Amongst the names is that of onesoldier who served in the Yorkshire Regiment.


Private Harold Frederick Roberts, 142325. 8th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, formerly 38317 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late William and Elizabeth Agnes Roberts. Killed 28 July 1918. Aged 28.
Born Walsall (Staffs), Enlisted Walsall.
Commemorated on the SOISSONS MEMORIAL.
