Peterborough did not have a fitting memorial to the thousand plus men who died in the First World War until a memorial book was dedicated at the Remembrance service in Peterborough Cathedral on 11th November 2007 and placed in St. Sprite's Chapel. This book resembles in all physical respects an existing memorial book for the local men who died in the Second World War. The new book used information provided by David Gray who spent the previous five years researching the names of the fallen.
David has kindly provided the photo of two memorials in St. Sprite's Chapel and agreed to a link to his database of names on his website www.pboro-memorial.com/.
