There are two War Memorials for Oldham.
The original War Memorial is a pyramidal group of soldiers in a trench scene surmounting a quare plinth with panelled doors. The Commemorations and Dedication are inscribed in relief on bronze plaques mounted on the churchyard wall at the entrance to the church.
2688 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 288 in the Second World War, on these memorial plaqies.
In 2020 another memorial was dedicated to those who had lost their lives
in the First World War. This memorial included names that are missing from
the original memorial.
This memorial is on a wall directly in front of the church. The names commemorated
are inscribed on metal plaques.
22 soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiment are amongst those commemorated.
