19 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War. Curiously, the Nether Poppleton War Memorial commemorates only 11 names.

Born Nether Poppleton (Yorks), Enlisted Thirsk, Resided Nether Poppleton.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
