The Merstham War Memorial is located at the junction of London Road (South) and School Hill in Merstham.

The memorial is a Celtic Cross of rough hewed granite. The First World War dedication and commemorations are on the front face of the base of the Cross, and the second World war dedication and commemorations are on the left hand face of the base of the Cross

90 names of those who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated, and 35 names for the Second World War.

A transcription of all the names on the memorial, with brief biographical details, is to be found on the Surrey in the Great War : A County Remembers website. The Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website also has a transcription of the names on the memorial.

Born Merstham (Surrey), Enlisted Northampton.
Buried AIRE COMMUNAL CEMETERY, FRANCE.
(Son of Henry and Mary Anne Lewington. One of 14 children. Two brothers, Arthur and Frederick, also died in the First World War.)
