The First World War Memorial in St. Cuthbert's Church, Martin-in-Cleveland, is a brass plaque which commemorates the names of 11 men who lost their lives in the First World War.
4 of the names commemorated are of soldiers who served in the Yorkshire Regiment.

Private Keith Alexander. 26607. 9th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of George and Elizabeth Alexander, of Marton, Middlesbrough,
Yorks. Killed 20 September 1916. Aged 29.
Born Middlesbrough, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Residence Marton.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
Corporal Thomas Husband. 11468. 7th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of Thomas W. Husband, of 11, Albert Rd., Eston, Yorks. Killed
9 July 1916. Aged 33.
Enlisted Middlesbrough.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
Private William James Hodgson, 35406.
1st/7th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, formerly 23999 the Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of William and Isabel Hodgson. Killed 26 October 1917. Aged 21.
Born Marton (Yorks), Enlisted Stockton-on-Tees.
Commemorated on Panel 19 to 23 and 162, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.

Lance Corporal Thomas Hunwick, 6293.
5th Battalion Connaught Rangers, formerly
11991 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Francis and Margaret Hunwick, of Marton
Hall Buildings, Marton, Yorks. Killed 21 June 1917. Aged 22.
Born Durham, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided Marton (Yorks).
Buried STRUMA MILITARY CEMETERY.
