The War Memorial for Marfleet is situated within a small public memorial garden on Hedon Road, Hull. It is a stone plaque with inscriptions in gold lettering, set in a concrete plinth against a brick wall. The current memorial was unveiled in 2003, after the Co-operative building on the adjoining Marfleet Avenue - its original site - was demolished.
212 names are shown on the memorial, of whom 186 served and returned and 26 lost their lives in the First World War.
1 soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this memorial.

the Yorkshire Regiment, attached to Depot. Son of James Mark and Louisa Colman,
of 1, Edmonton Villas, Ceylon St., Marfleet, Hull. Died at home 17 November
1915. Aged 23.
Born Latchford (Chester), Enlisted Hull, Resided Marfleet (Hull).
