The Manchester University War Memorial is on the side of the John Owens Building at the Western side of the University of Manchester quadrangle.
The upper memorial is that of the Second World War, the lower memorial is of the First World War.
The bronze panels carry names of the 511 staff, students and Officer Training Corps members associated with the University who fell in the two world wars.

Carl's Cam website provides a detailed description of the memorial, and includes the names of all the men commemorated, shown under the regiments or forces that they served in.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the First World War panel of the memorial.
On the Second World War panel of the memorial, a soldier who served in the Green Howards is commemorated. (Lieutenant Peter F Clarke).


2nd Lieutenant Gerald Wallace Adam. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly Leicestershire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace Adam, of Heaton Moor, Stockport. Died on 10 August 1919. Aged 20.
Commemorated on the ARCHANGEL MEMORIAL.
