The First World War Memorial in St. Anne's Church, Lydgate, is a metal plaque on the Church tower. The memorial states that the tower was funded by the congregation in honour of those who lost their lives in the war.
44 names are commemorated as having lost their ives in the First World War, A transcription of the names is provided in the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website.
1 soldier who served in the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

formerly 29047 13th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Mrs. M. A.
Jackson (formerly Park), of 22, Under Lane, Grotton, Oldham. Killed 9 April
1917.
Born Oldham, Enlisted Clapham, Resided Oldham.
Buried BEAURAINS ROAD CEMETERY, BEAURAINS.
(Note : SDGW puts date of death as 13 April 1917.)
(Fred Park's widow lived just a short distance away due West of the Church.)
