Outside the Church of St. Anne in Limehouse (London), the First World War Memorial carries a bronze figure of Christ on a white stone pillar on which are inscribed the names of the fallen. The pillar is on a cruciform set of steps. On the plinth is a bronze representation of a trench scene, similar to one by the same artist (Arthur G A Walker, RA) at Shrewsbury College.
458 names of those who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated on this memorial.
In the above view, the memorial is located to the North of the church itself and the view is looking Eastwards.
The London WW1 Memorial website has transcribed the names of those commemorated, and provides brief biographical details on some of these names.
