The War Memorial for Kirdford and Plaistow consists of two stone panels inside a Lych Gate outside the Church of St John the Baptist, Kirdford.
The church is located off Glass House Lane, but the Lych Gate is situated on a side road that leads off Glass House lane.

The two stone panels appear to have weathered rather badly, but the commmeorated names have been sharpened.

37 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 17 in the Second World war. A transcript of the names can be found on the Imperial war Museum's Register of War memorials website, as well as on the Roll of Honour website. With the latter website, brief biographical information is also included.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

Private Edward Miles. 42866. 8th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 172660 R F A. Husband of Betsy Miles, of Strood Green, Wisborough Green, Billingshurst, Sussex. Killed 8 June 1917.
Born Slindon (Sussex), Enlisted Scotton Camp, Resided Chichester.
Buried LIJSSENTHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY.
