Lance Corporal Arnold W Coultas, 12891. 9th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Lucy Coultas, of The Nutshell, Scalby, Scarborough, and the late George Coultas. Killed 5 July 1916. Aged 22.
Born Scalby (Nr. Scarborough), Enlisted Scarborough, Resided Hovingham.
Buried SERRE ROAD CEMETERY No.2.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
(Another example of a body being recovered and identified after the name was put on a memorial as having no known grave.)

Private Edward Dawson, 7945. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Annie M. Dawson, of Hovingham, Yorks. A Reservist. Killed 16 May 1915. Aged 31.

Born Hovingham (Malton), Enlisted Malton, Resided Hovingham (Yorks).

Serjeant John Dawson, MM, 240072. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Annie Maria Dawson, of High St., Hovingham Spa, Malton, Yorks, and the late George, Dawson. Killed 27 May 1915. Aged 27.

Lance Corporal Reginald Dawson, 2166. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Annie Dawson, of Hovingham. Malton. Yorks. Killed 17 September 1916. Aged 21.
