The First World War Memorial for All saints' Church, Horsington, is a Pax bell with an associated carved wooden board bearing, at top, a coronet, below which a laurel wreath. The names commemorated are at the centre with grape vines at each side. At the bottom centre there is an additional name on a small board. The whole is supported by two corbels each carved with a fleur-de-lys.

7 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War.

Of those commemorated, 1 was a soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.


Private Harry Longthorn. TR/5/14079. 11th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, attached 4th T R Battn. Son of George and H. S. Longthorn, of Horsington. Died at home 15 March 1917. Aged 18.
Born Marsham-on-Hill, Enlisted Louth, Resided Horsington.
Buried HORSINGTON (ALL SAINTS) CHURCHYARD.
