The War Memorial for Hindringham, standing in the churchyard of St. Martin's, Hindringham, has been photographed by Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) and by "Moominpapa06" (no real name given). Two soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial for HIndringham, Norfolk. Additionally, one of these soldiers is also commemorated on a family headstone.
Private Henry Herbert Haines, 203276. 4th Battalion
the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. Anna Jane Haines; husband of Janet May
Haines, of Hindringham, Walsingham, Norfolk. Born at Hindringham. Killed 30
July 1918. Aged 35.
Born Hindringham (Norfolk), Enlisted Cromer, Resided Hindringham (Walsingham).
Buried HAUTMONT COMMUNAL CEMETERY.
Private Benjamin Alfred Wyer. 241865. 6th Battalion
Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Thomas and Lucy Wyer, of Norfolk; husband of Emily
Louisa Wyer, of Hindringham, Walsingham, Norfolk. Died of wounds 14 November
1917. Aged 37.
Born Field Dalling (Norfolk), Enlisted Cromer, Resided Hindringham (Norfolk).
Buried ETAPLES CEMETERY.
