The War Memorial for Hilton is a simple cenotaph-type memorial. It is located at the entrance to St. Peter's Church, opposite the Falcon Inn. The memorial is inscribed;-

IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE PARISH WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918.

Private Henry Johnson. 5458. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of James and Jane Adelaide Johnson, of Ox Hill Farm, Hilton, Yarm-on-Tees, Yorks. Killed 17 September 1916. Aged 24.
