The Harden War Memorial is a stone cross on a column set on a plinth set on two-stepped base. The top step of the base bears names of those commemorated.

The names of those commemorated (20 for the First World War and 13 for the Second World War) are listed on the War Memorials On Line website.
Details of those who lost their lives in the First World War are provided on a special leaflet compiled by the Harden Parish Council to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the First World War.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this memorial.

Private Henry Metcalfe. 10430. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 5 October 1918.
Born Selby, Enlisted Devonport, Resided Bingley (Yorks).
Commemorated on Panel 5 of the VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL.
(Although the special leaflet, above, produced by the Harden Parish Council states that he first fought in France in October 1914 this may not be correct. The only battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment in action in October 1914 was the 2nd Battalion, who fought in the First Battle of Ypres in Belgium.)
