St. Paul's Church, Gateshead, was located in Askew Road West but was demolished in the 1980s.
The First World War Memorial was originally oak panelling with the names
cut in and an oak screen dividing off the North Trancept so as to form a Memorial
Chapel.
This memorial has been lost, but the North
East War Memorials Project has provided a transcription of these names
using newspaper reports and copies of the Parish Magazine.
