The War Memorial for Fordyce

The Fordyce War Memorial is located Inside the gate of Fordyce cemetery, located south of the village of Fordyce, Banff And Buchan.
The memorial is a Celtic cross with wheel-head and bosses set
on a tapering pedestal of rustic blocks with a stepped base.
A wreath in relief and bosses on cross polished. The dedication and names
are on the 6 o'clock face, the Second World War names on the 12 o'clock face.
On each of the panels the two panels of names are divided by an elongated
Latin cross. All lettering is inscribed.
The memorial commemorates 31 names from the First World War and 21 names from the Second World War. There are also 2 name from the subsequenr wars.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this War Memorial.
