The War Memorial at East Harlsey

The War Memorial at East Harlsey, a cross on a square base, is inscribed;-

ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918.

Captain Herbert Norman Constantine, MC. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. J. and Mrs. M. L. Constantine, of Harlsey Hall, Northallerton, Yorks. Killed 27 May 1918. Aged 26.
Buried LA VILLE-AUX-BOIS BRITISH CEMETERY.

Private Tom Frewin. 31273. 8th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 26809 the Yorkshire Regiment.Son of William and Sarah Jane Frewin, of East Harlsey, Northallerton, Yorkshire. Killed 2 December 1916. Aged 20.
Born Foxton (Yorks), Enlisted Bedale (Yorks).
Buried COUIN BRITISH CEMETERY.

Private Tom Hunter. 2148. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 14 February 1916.
Born Northallerton, Enlisted Northallerton.
Buried RAILWAY DUGOUTS BURIAL GROUND.
