The Dinnington War Memorial

The Dinngton War Memorial is located at Coronation Park, Laughton Road, Dinnington.
The Dinngton War Memoriao has a base surmounted by a hexagonal plinth with a tapered shaft and cross. Posts and chain links placed around the memorial. The dedication and commemorations are incised into the sides of the plinth.
The memorial commemorate 110 names of those who fell in the First World War and 37 names of those who fell in the Second World War.
1 soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

Private Thomas Lerigo. 53567. 9th Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment, formerly 40615 West Riding Regt. Son of Richard and Louisa Lerigo,
of 57, East St., Dinnington, Yorks. Killed 24 October 1918. Aged 23.
Born Barnsley (Yorks), Enlisted Dinnington (Rotherham).
Buried POMMEREUIL BRITISH CEMETERY.
