The War Memorial for Burwell is located on the gable End of a private house. Originally this house was the Nurses's Home and known as Memorial House, Burwell. The house is located on the High Street, just North of the junction with Newmarket Road.
5 stone tablets are mounted on the house, - the central three
tablets commemorate names for the First World War.

62 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 24 in the Second World War.
2 soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial.
Private Charles Camps. 33341. 6th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Formerly 4449 Suffolk Regt. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. Camps,
of Reach, Cambs; husband of Eliza Ethel Camps, of Crown Hall Farm, Burwell,
Cambs. Killed 18 January 1917. Aged 22.
Born Swaffham Fen (Cambs), Enlisted Newmarket, Resided Burwell.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
Corporal John Webb. 3/8285. 6th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of John and Sarah Webb, of Burwell, Cambridge. Killed 21 August
1915. Aged 26.
Born Cambridge, Enlisted Scarborough, Resided Bridlington.
Commemorated on Panels 55 to 58, HELLES MEMORIAL.
