The website, "Buckinghamshire Remembers" is a website set up by June and Peter Underwood, and their son Peter, to record the Memorials to the men of Buckinghamshire who died as a result of the First World War. This website is very comprehensive and has a powerful search engine included in it, so that the details of, - and Memorials to, individuals can be quickly found.

Private David Batchelor, 33756. 7th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 630120 Army Service Corps. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Batchelor, of Chesham, Bucks. Killed 22 December 1917. Aged 22.

Corporal John Robert Clark, 19218. 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of F. T. Clark, of Upper Hartwell, Aylesbury. Died at home 23 June 1920. Aged 47.
Born Gateshead, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided Aylesbury (Bucks).
Buried ADDINGTON (ST. MARY) CHURCHYARD, Bucks.
(The Service Record of John Robert Clark exists. From this we can see that;-
He had previously served 12 years with the 2nd Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment. In 1897 he was a Shoemaker in Cawnpore, India.
He enlisted on 1 September 1914, was promoted to Corporal on 14 October 1914 and Serjeant on 20 April 1915.
He served in France from 9 September 1915 to 3 December 1916, but in that time was demoted to Corporal due to being absent without leave. He was discharged on 4 April 1919 due to pulmonary phthisis (TB). His wife was Fanny Seaton Clark, and they had two children, - Fanny and John Robert.)

Lieutenant George Ernest Lister Cressey. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late George Henry and Mary Pelham Cressey, of Fairoak, Gerrard's Cross, Bucks. Killed 26 September 1915. Aged 20.

Private Percy Driscoll. 10339. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 6 November 1914.
Born Aspley Heath (Bedford), Enlisted London, Resided Woburn Sands (Bucks).

Company Serjeant Major George Henry Flemming. 3/8878. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late Gilbert and Mary Flemming; husband of Rose Elizabeth Flemming, of 5, Albion St., Aylesbury, Bucks. Killed 21 September 1916. Aged 41.
Born Hoxton (London), Enlisted London, Resided Aylesbury.
Commemorated on Pier and Face 3A & 3D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.

Private Victor John Gillions. 35630. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 4009 R Berkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. Minnie Gillions, of 47, Queen St., Aylesbury, Bucks. Killed 27 May 1918. Aged 19.
Born Tottenham (Middx), Enlisted Aylesbury (Bucks).

Private Frederick William Ginger. 42347. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 183510 RFA. Killed 2 April 1917.

Lieutenant Francis Harold Harrison. 3rd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, attached 5th Bn. Special Bde. Royal Engineers. Son of Frank and Ruth Harrison, of 7, Guilford Place, London, W.C.1. Killed 2 September 1916. Aged 30.

Private Lionel Jordan, 2269. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Henry and Mary Jordan, of 1, Prospect Place, Wing, Bucks. Killed 20 August 1915. Aged 29.
