The Shrine Containing the Books of Remembrance for Bournemouth is held in the Hall of Remembrance, in the Town Hall for Bournemouth. The Town Hall is located at the junction of Bourne Avenue and Braidley Road, Bournemouth.

The Shrine is made of Bronze, with the Books of Remembrance maintained behind glass. The Shrine has a pedimented top with the town's Coat of Arms at its apwex.The First World War Book of Remembrance is above the Second World War Book of Remembrance. A light is kept on in the Shrine.

1354 names are commemorated for the First World war, of whom 677 lost their lives.
1160 names are commemorated for the Second World war, of whom 580 lost their lives.

2 soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated in the First World War Books of Remembrance.

Born Bournemouth, Enlisted Bournemouth.
Buried CHAUNY COMMUNAL CEMETERY BRITISH EXTENSION..

Corporal Frederick Turner. 235478. 9th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 5339 Durham L I. Son of Charlie and Fanny Turner, of Winton; husband of Alice Maud Turner, of 42, Parker Road, Winton, Bournemouth. Killed 5 October 1918. Aged 34.
Born Netley (Hants), Enlisted Bournemouth, Resided Winton.
Buried BEAUREVOIR BRITISH CEMETERY.
