Bolton Cemetery (aka Bolton-upon-Dearne Cemetery) is located
in Thurnscoe Rd, Bolton upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 8AG.
A War Memorial commemorating the dead of both World Wars and subsequent conflicts
was erected in the cemetery and dedicated on 3 August 2014.
214 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War,
and 81 from the Second World War.
4 soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on this memorial.
In addition to the War Memorial, there are 16 War Graves in
this cemetery, though none of them are of Yorkshire Regiment soldiers.
However, there are two family memorials which also commemorate
members of the Yorkshire Regiment, and these are shown below.

Private Sidney Else. 48262. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly
TR/5/110554 87th T R Battalion. Son of Fred and Maria Else, of 26, Barnsley
Rd., Goldthorpe, Rotherham. Died 10 April 1918. Aged
18.
Born Whittington (Derbyshire), Enlisted Mexborough, Resided Goldthorpe.
Commemorated on Panel 4, PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL.
Lance Corporal Harry Harris, 24673. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of George and Esther Harris, of 25, Station Rd., Bolton-on-Dearne,
Rotherham. Killed 2 June 1917. Aged 21.
Born West Melton, Enlisted Doncaster, Resided Bolton-on-Dearne (Near Rotherham).
Buried FINS NEW BRITISH CEMETERY, SOREL-LE-GRAND.
Lance Serjeant Thomas Kay, 24675. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment.
Killed 7 December 1917.
Born Elsecar (Yorks), Enlisted Doncaster, Resided Bolton-on-Dearne (Nr. Rotherham).
Burried ANNEUX BRITISH CEMETERY.
Private Harry Robinson. 2050. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of William and Sarah Jane Robinson, of 53, Doncaster Rd., Goldthorpe,
Rotherham, Yorks. Killed 29 April 1915. Aged 24.
Born Eastwood (Notts), Enlisted Scarborough, Resided Goldthorpe (Rotherham).
Buried VLAMERTINGHE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY.

The above headstone incorrectly shows the date of death of Sergeant Thomas Kay as 1916 (it should be 1917).
