The Elm Road Baptist Church, Beckenham, is situated at the junction of Beckenham Road and Elm Road, Beckenham (London Borough of Bromley).

The First World War Memorial is a window and enamelled dedicatory plaque, with the latter set in a wooden frame. Coloured Yorkshire Rose foliage and other flowers form the border. There is a crowned shield bear cross at top.

11 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, including one Officer of the Yorkshire Regiment.


2nd Lieutenant Cyril Percy Maddox. Yorkshire Regiment, attached 2nd/4th Battalion KOYLI. Killed 20 November 1917.
Buried HERMIES HILL BRITISH CEMETERY.
(From Bob Coulson's Biographies of Yorkshire Regiment Officers;-
Cyril Maddox served initially as a private with the Machine Gun Corps before gaining a commission with the Yorkshire Regiment. He was then attached to the 2/4th Battalion of the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.)
