Private Albert Victor Paul. 8695. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Kate Paul, of 121, Chester Rd., Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex, and the late Alfred Paul. Killed 30 October 1914. Aged 28.

Private George Henry Peel. 33593. 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 2565 Derby Yeomanry. Son of Mr. F. G. R. and Mrs. Alice Peel, of 11, Club St., Kettering. Killed 7 June 1917. Aged 21.
Born Kettering (Northants), Enlisted Derby.

Captain Lawrence Peel. Officer Commanding 7th Division Cycle Company, Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Peel, of Knowlmere Manor, Clitheroe; husband of the Hon. Mrs. L. Peel (now the Hon. Mrs. Martin, of The Brand, Loughborough, Leicestershire). Killed 23 October 1914. Aged 30.

Private George Pemberton. 32769. 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Janet Pemberton, of 86, Arundel St., Sheffield. Formerly employed at Midland Railway Goods Station, Queen's Rd., Sheffield. Killed 7 June 1917. Aged 32.

Lieutenant Richard Herbert Phayre. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Eldest son of Lt. Col. R. Phayre, O.B.E., D.L., and Mrs. Frances Anne Phayre, of "Belgaum," Woking, Surrey. Killed 26 October 1914. Aged 24.

Private Joseph Pickard. 7983. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed between 22 October 1914 and 6 November 1914.
Born Dewsbury, Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Dewsbury.

Private Hughie Pickering. 2643. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Tom Pickering, of 32, Old Maltongate, Malton, Yorks. Killed 30 May 1915. Aged 19.

Staff Serjeant Frank Henry Pinner. 1008. Army Ordnace Corps, attached to the 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of William and Caroline Pinner; husband of Sarah Ann Pinner, of 69, Topsham Rd., West Smethwick, Staffs. Killed 27 October 1914. Aged 36.
Born Birmingham, Enlisted Birmingham.
Commemorated Panel 56, YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL.
(Serjeant Pinner's Pension Record exists. He was a Gunsmith who first enlisted in the Army in 1902. He re-engaged in August 1911, - with the 2nd Battalion in Guernsey. He was with the 2nd Battalion when they embarked for Belgium in October 1914, and was killed at the First Battle of Ypres, fighting with the Regiment.
He is not listed on the 2nd Battalion's Roll of Honour of those who embarked for Belgium in October 1914).

Lance Corporal Thomas Plaiter. 30761. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Isabella Plaiter, of 8, Top-O-th'-hill (sic CWGC), New Hey, Rochdale. Killed 31 July 1917. Aged 20.
Born Shipley, Enlisted Huddersfield.

Private Walter Postle. 10309. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. C. Adlington Greenwood, of 50, Poole St., New North Rd., Hoxton, London. Killed 22 October 1914. Aged 21.
