The Woodkirk War Memorial is a plaque mounted in the Church of St. Mary, Dewsbury Road, Woodkirk. Four commemorative panels and one dedicatory panel are mounted on a wooden surround.
47 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War, and 38 in the Second World War.

Of the names commemorated, three are for soldiers who served with the Yorkshire
Regiment.
Private Joseph Arthur Binks. 46152. 12th Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment, formerly 224665 R.E. Son of the late J. W. and Elizabeth Binks;
husband of Jane Binks. of Council Houses, Tingley, Wakefield. Native of Morley,
Leeds. Killed 11 April 1918. Aged 29.
Born Morley (Yorks), Enlisted Pontefract, Resided Tingley (Nr Wakefield).
Buried CROIX-DU-BAC BRITISH CEMETERY.
Captain Arthur Wilson Simpkin. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment,
attached 8th Battalion West Yorks Regt. Son of J. W. and Emily Simpkin, of
Norton Royd, Woodkirk, Dewsbury, Yorks. Killed 30 September 1918. Aged 22.
Buried RUYAULCOURT MILITARY CEMETERY.

Captain Harry Hargreaves Simpkin. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of John William and Emily Simpkin, of Norton Royd, Woodkirk, Dewsbury,
Yorks. Killed 22 March 1918. Aged 22.
Commemorated on Bay 5, ARRAS MEMORIAL.
