The War Memorial for Westerdale (North Yorkshire) is the lectern in the Parish Church. The base of the lectern is dedicated and commemorated as per the transcription below.

Private Robert C Etherington. 18985. Yorkshire Regiment,
transferred to Labour Corps. Son of Christopher and Selina Etherington, of
10, Seamer, Yarm-on-Tees. Born at Baysdale Abbey. Died 25 February 1919. Aged
41.
Buried KILDALE (ST. CUTHBERT) CHURCHYARD.
(From the 1911 Census, Robert Etherington was a Farmer and was single.)
Private Martin Featherstone. 7258. 1st/9th Battalion
Durham Light Infantry, formerly 28670 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Joseph
Featherstone, of Westerdale, Castleton, Yorks, and the late Sarah Margaret
Featherstone. Killed 5 November 1916. Aged 20.
Born Westerdale (Yorks), Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Westerdale (Yorks).
Commemorated on Pier and Face 14 A and 15 C, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
