Private John William Hewitson, G/79999. 4th Battalion
Royal Fusiliers, formerly 28397 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Robert Hewitson,
of North Field, Bowes, Darlington. Killed 18 September 1918. Aged 22.
Born Bowes (Yorks), Enlisted Barnard Castle, Resided Barnard Castle.
Commemorated on Panel 3, VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL.
Private Frederick Littlefair, 30585. 9th Battalion
Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late John and Martha Littlefair; husband of
Gertrude Alice Littlefair, of 64, Milbank Terrace, Station Town, Wingate,
Co. Durham. Died 20 September 1917. Aged 41.
Born Barnard Castle (Durham), Enlisted Barnard Castle, Resided Low Startforth
(Durham).
Private Robert McKitton. 5298. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Killed 12 March 1915.
Born Sunderland, Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Barnard Castle.
