Born Eston (Yorks), Enlisted South Bank, Resided Eston.
Buried WIMEREUX COMMUNAL CEMETERY.

Serjeant Edward Thirkell. 1689. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late J. B. and May Ann Thirkell, of 74, Redcar Rd., South Bank, Yorks. Killed 6 August 1915. Aged 20.
Born Normanby, Enlisted Normanby, Resided South Bank.
Buried STRAND MILITARY CEMETERY.

Private Joseph William Todd. 26411. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Joseph and Margaret Todd, of 30, Codd St., South Bank, Yorkshire. Killed 26 July 1917. Aged 27.
Born South Bank (Yorks), Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided South Bank.
Commemorated Panel 33, Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

2nd Lieutenant Guy Storey Townsend. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, attached to Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Son of Mr. J. J. and Mrs. L. A. Townsend, of 7, Severs St., South Bank, Yorks. Killed 23 August 1918. Aged 26.
Buried BONNAY COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.
