Born Skelton (Guisborough), Enlisted Skelton.

Private Thomas Wood, 386.
John Simpson adds that "Thomas Wood lived at Skelton
near Redcar, but I believe he was born further south at Newburgh Priory
near to the village of Coxwold where his parents were farm workers."
John Robson, who is John Simpson's grandfather, married Thomas Wood's sister,
Lily.
