5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 15 September 1916.
Born Nawton (Helmsley, Yorks), Enlisted Pickering (Yorks)
Buried ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY, MIRAUMONT.

Son of Mr W Spink of Pickering. A Pre-War Territorial he went to the front in May 1915 and was wounded 2 weeks later. Returned to the front in January 1916, and just prior to being killed had taken the place of Sgt. L Harker who was wounded.
