Born Middlesbrough, Enlisted Middlesbrough.
Commemorated Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.

William Amos' brother, Evan Harris, - also from Middlesbrough, served in the KIng's Royal Rifle Corps (No R/3299) and was killed on 17 September 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
